Searching–
for Jesus?
If you’re reading this, you need to know that we all have something in common. We have missed the mark of God’s design for our lives. As a result, we chase after things to fill the space that is created by the distance that our mistakes have made. We use relationships with others to feel a sense of belonging. We use pursuits or acknowledgments to feel a sense of accomplishment. We use substances or busyness to numb the realities of the despair we feel. What each of these things shares is a shelf life. Relationships involve humans who make mistakes, accomplishments lose the shine as time goes on, and no matter how much you try and mask it, despair is always there waiting.
What if there were a way to have a relationship with someone who loves you despite your flaws?
What if you were able to be credited with an achievement that you didn’t accomplish?
What if you had the hope to face anything that comes your way?
I know that this may seem crazy or foolish even. But what if I told you that such a thing exists? Here is the reality: it does! You may have heard about it or even seen others claim it but not necessarily live like it, but is does exist.
Let me explain; we were designed by God to be in a relationship with Him. The problem is that we have distanced ourselves from Him by choosing our own way, which the Bible calls sin. However, God in His grace made provision for this. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, or as we see in the Bible God in flesh, lived a sinless life and died on the cross as a payment for our sin. But He rose from the dead, and as a result, we can be in a relationship with God and have life. This life is not just for here in this life but eternal life with God.
Will you receive jesus christ?
Here is how you can receive Jesus Christ:
1. Admit your need. (I am a sinner.)
2. Be willing to turn from your sins (repent), and ask for God’s forgiveness.
3. Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the cross and rose from the grave.
4. Through prayer, ask Jesus Christ to come in and control your life through the Holy Spirit. (Receive Jesus as Lord and Savior.)
How you can pray:
Dear God,
I know that I am a sinner. I want to turn from my sins, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe He died for my sins and that You raised Him to life. I want Him to come into my heart and to take control of my life. I want to trust Jesus as my Savior and follow Him as my Lord from this day forward.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
