Heather Cornelison

I was born in Houston, Texas. When I was in 3rd grade my family moved to Whitehouse, Texas due to my dad’s job being transferred. I came to know the Lord when I was 9 years old during a revival that was being held at the baptist church that my mom and I were attending in Tyler. Throughout my elementary-high school years, I always looked forward to all the church trips and activities planned for the year. I loved every bit of it! In junior high, I tried out for the volleyball team. I quickly realized I was not as good as I thought I was, so plan B was to try out for the track team. Come to find out, I was a pretty good long distance runner. In 7th grade I joined the track team and in 9th I joined the cross country team. In my junior year of high school, my dad’s job got transferred back to Houston, so we moved to The Woodlands. I joined the track & cross country teams and I graduated in May of 2000.

In October of 2001, I married my husband, Alan. I am so blessed to be married to my best friend. We live in Bullard. We do not have kids, instead we have 2 cats.

In 2012, I became the University Boulevard Campus Pastor’s Administrative Assistant and I absolutely love it! The cool thing about this job is that I totally believe it was all God. This position has stretched me, but it is transforming me into a dedicated disciple of Jesus Christ, wholeheartedly committed in Worship of God, fully engaged daily in the Mission of the gospel, and intimately connected in authentic Community.

God Is Good!
