Grace Family,

For presencial worshiping experiences we are following CDC and GA-29 protocols regarding social distancing. We want to do our part to stop the spread and keep people safe.

One of those guidelines is to wear a mask, if the risk for exposure is high. While we believe that we are cleaning and sanitizing our buildings in an appropriate and effective way, we still know that people gathering in a room and singing does put us at greater risk.

Masks have been the subject of heated debate during the outbreak and most have an opinion about them. The CDC is advising people to wear masks in public and the Governor is asking people to “please wear masks.” At this time Smith County hasn’t required citizens to wear masks in public, but we are going to ask that you wear a mask, if you come to an “In Person” service.

If we error, we want to error on the side of caution and for the good of others. Thanks for understanding. This won’t last forever and God will lead us through it.
