The Art of Neighboring Class

Our Sunday morning class will be discussing the book The Art of Neighboring by Jay Pathak and Dave Runyon. The authors discuss how societal shifts have made it quite difficult to build lasting relationships with your neighbors; Yet, Jesus says in Matthew 12:30-31, “And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these” (ESV).

Pathak and Runyon explore the question, “What would happen if every follower of Jesus took the Great Commandment literally?” Do you know your next door neighbor? The one across the street? Let’s dive into what is the most loving thing you can do for people who live on your street or in your apartment building.
