Words of Advice from My Point of View:

Let's not mock the terrible persecution of our brothers and sisters in the two-thirds world by declaring our inconveniences and social ostracizations to be persecution for the sake of Christ. At the same time, we can also realize that very difficult trials happen to each one of us and 1 Peter 4:12-19 outlines some very definite responses we can make to live-out godly lives in spite of circumstances.

Difficult circumstances and evil people can be mere tools in the hand of God to both test your faith and make Him famous, bring Him glory.
